 Teledyne Instruments SENTRY is a stand alone, self-contained data acquisition instrument designed for the permanent monitoring of motor-operated-valve parameters. The SENTRY system makes use of an IBM-compatible microcomputer that interfaces with an eight channel data acquisition board. The unit has a liquid crystal display and data is stored on a PCMCIA storage module. Each SENTRY is capable of recording and storing data from hundreds of valve strokes. The PCMCIA storage module can then be removed and the data transferred through any standard PCMCIA Type II slot to be analyzed by with QUIKLOOK for Windows Software. Data from every stroke, under actual plant conditions, can then be trended and a data base of valve operation developed.
